Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to share my previous work from University. The project was to "make sound visible" if you read my previous post you'd know that I had quite a headache trying to come with an idea but horrah-horrah I got there in the end!

So how did I come up with the idea?
Not a lot of people know that I have a secret passion for dance, I do wish that I was better at it but ever since I started focusing on Art I have neglected dance for a while. I hated that I haven't had time to take any classes but I'm thankful that I'm still exposed to dance in some way. This idea was initially inspired by Oskar Fischinger's work called "Motion.Painting.No.1.1942." (seen bellow). The idea is that the motion of the shapes moved in sync with the individual intruments, if you have the time look it up on google it looks absolutely amazing!

Having been inspired by his work, my idea was to use a dancer instead - Dance is one of the simplest form to make sound visible, dance and music are used together to make a beautiful art form. If you notice the dancer moves completely in sync with each instruments, and I tried my best to make this visible. So not only did I make sound visible I was able to create a little dance project to make up for the times where I've neglected it. I'm not gonna babble on about the idea too much but I hope you guys understand it! :)

To watch the short film I created for this project please visit this link:  MAKE SOUND VISIBLE PROJECT FILM
I also want to thank my very very good and beautiful friend Annie Arnsby for dancing for me, without her this project wouldn't come to life. She did an incredible job even with the last minute plans we had and I also want to thank my best friend Alison Afu-Clackett for helping out! Please continue to support Annie and myself with the work we're doing! :)

Have a nice day all! ♥

Book shopping

Hello all!
It has been such a semi-hectic day today! I attended a recruitment event for the London Ambassadors, I think I did pretty well considering the fact that I lack a lot of sleep  although I thought I could have done better. I was definitely overshadowed by the many adults that were with me though and it made me wonder am I the only sad 18 year old who wants to do these kinda things now-a-days?
After the event I headed straight to Westfield simply just to please my ego, I felt slightly unconfident after the event and I knew a few shopping here and there will help me get over it. I did stop by WHSmith to look for new books to find and I'm very pleased to have found these books! "The White Queen", "The Red Queen" by Philippa Gregory & "the Catcher In The Rye" by J.D. Salinger I'v heard a lot of positive things about these books so I hope they were worth the buy and I definitely cannot wait to get lost in them!

On a less brighter note, I just want to quickly make a comment about the book I'm currently reading "Deception Point" by Dan Brown, I'm a big Dan Brown fan but this book isn't one of his best ones. It's taken me more than 6 months to actually finish it, I don't know what it is but I think the pace of the story's a bit slow. I'm nearing the end now and all the twists and turns are just happening this I think is one of his forté. Dan Brown is still an exceptional writer to me but this book is definitely not as good as his other books.
What books are you reading now?
Don't forget to check out my other pages!
Lots of book worm love,
Christine xo

Moving... AGAIN?!

Have I ever mentioned how incredibly indecisive I get? After moving everything to Tumblr I now feel that I prefer blogspot. I supposed I have more freedom with the look I want to go for as opposed to Tumblr, my knowledge with html codes are poor and pre-made templates are just not good enough for me anymore. Please don't fret (that's not really for you guys, it's more for me haha!), everything that was in there will be slowly transfered here. And for now, I'm a happy bunny.

Be awesome today,
Christine xo
